🎶 About Your Coach

Lorenzo Ferrero is a Latin Grammy–winning saxophonist, arranger, and educator, internationally recognized for his work blending jazz, Latin, and orchestral music.

He is the co-founder and co-director of the Afro-Peruvian Jazz Orchestra, whose debut album Tradiciones received international acclaim. Lorenzo earned a Latin Grammy Award for Best Arrangement for his work on “La Flor de la Canela,” and the album went on to receive both Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations for Best Latin Jazz Album.

Lorenzo’s writing has been performed at major festivals and venues worldwide, and he has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Alex Acuña, Arturo Sandoval, Eric Marienthal and many others.

As an educator, he’s guided thousands of musicians through his ToneAlley Academy, helping them develop their sound, expand their harmonic vocabulary, and grow as improvisers and composers.

Through the Master Arranger Coaching Program, Lorenzo now shares his professional arranging system step-by-step — helping serious composers master advanced harmony, voicings, and orchestration, and bring their own sound to life with clarity, color, and depth.
